However, the Criminal Court denied him bail, and he was detained at Bangkok Remand Prison on 2 July  2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the scheduled date for evidence review, Nawat arrived late at court, leading the court to issu<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following day (2 July 2023), Nawat turned himself in according to the arrest warrant. His lawyer filed a bail request, but the judge denied bail, citing concerns that Nawat's late arrival might indicate an intention to evade court proceedings. The court feared he might flee if released temporarily. As a result, Nawat was detained at Bangkok Special Prison from that evening.
