Prior to his imprisonment, he made a living as a freelance masseur based in Bangkok. He is an ordinary citizen. without any formal affiliation to any particular political faction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regarding his political attitudes and opinions: Teepakorn was opposed to the 2006 military coup and participated in the Red Shirt demonstrations during April and May 2010. He witnessed the crackdowns and massacres himself. This  left him with mental wounds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the demonstrations in 2020, Teepakorn did not join regularly  but agreed with and supported the younger generation. According to him, if people stay complacent and did not act out, the powers that be would not change and military coups would be staged over and over again. Even 100 years from now, nothing would be changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teepakorn has an eight-year-old son who has autism and has a Category 7 disabled person  ID card. Born with autism, his son is unable to control his emotions conditions or concentrate, even though his ability to learn surpasses his peers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teepakorn\u2019s son needs to take medicine and receive regular therapy from medical experts. The psychologist told his family to tell Teepakorn that his son\u2019s treatment will need help from him as a father as well. The psychologist wants to ensure that the father can see his son regularly; this will help to improve his condition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At present, his son is being raised by Teepakorn\u2019s ex-wife who is also disabled with a Category 7 disabled person ID card related to mental or behavioral disorders. She, too, has to regularly take medicine and receive medical treatment. Despite her being able to work, her income alone cannot support the living expenses and treatment for both her and her son. Without Teepakorn\u2019s income, the lives of both his son and his ex-wife are dire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teepakorn\u2019s parents are old and do not earn income. Both are in their 50s. In 2013, his father had to have a balloon angioplasty as a treatment for the hardening of his arteries. In the same year, his mother had surgery to remove her thyroid gland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both continue to take medicine and need regular medical follow-up. Given their weak physical condition, they are unable to work.
