He was convicted of 5 counts of violation and sentened to 3 years per count, for a total of 15 years imprisonment. He confessed and so the sentence was reduced to 7 years and 6 months, with no suspension of punishment.  Kong was imprisoned for 46 days before being released on bail while the case was being appealed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Subsequently, on 13 February 2024, he had to enter prison for the 2nd time as the Appeal Court upheld the sentence of imprisonment of 5 years and 30 months (or 7 years and 6 months) without suspension of punishment. Kong was denied bail and so has been in the Bangkok Remand Prison since then.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kong was also sentenced to 4 years imprisonment by the Samut Prakan Provincial Court on 16 February 2023 in another case of violation of Article 112 of the Criminal Code and Article 14 (3) of the Computer Crimes Act. In this case, he used a Facebook account in the name of \u201cJohn New World\u201d in the Royal Marketplace group in 2020.
