It\u2019s a shame that today the Bangkok Military Court did not take me out [of prison] to perform my duty as a lawyer due to the documents not being ready. But I know from the lawyer who came to visit me that on 16 October, the Bangkok Military Court is going to take me out to serve as a lawyer. It\u2019s probably going to look odd that I will have to argue a case in a prisoner\u2019s uniform yet again, but it\u2019s necessary and I will do my duty to the utmost.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today I received a letter from Issaranon\u2019s Mommy and a letter from Aunty B. For Issaranon\u2019s Mommy: if it\u2019s not absolutely necessary, you don\u2019t have to include a picture of Issaranon. It makes me miss my son even more.<\/span><\/p>\n

.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you to everyone who is helping to look after Issaranon, Pran, and my family. I will be even happier if you look after the families of other political prisoners and help them get through this terrible time, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope that Issaranon will get better soon. He\u2019s a good kid. May that which is sacred offer him protection as he grows up. It\u2019s a shame that on his first birthday, 14 November, his daddy won\u2019t be able to be there. For his first birthday, I hope that he will grow strong.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day that Issaranon was born is the day that his daddy gained his freedom. So I gave him the name \u201cIssaranon.\u201d This means Arnon who is free. And, I included his father\u2019s name in his name to remind him that he was born from the love of his father and mother, and he was born in a time when his country was still not a democracy.<\/span><\/p>\n

This week, I will perform my role as both a defendant and a lawyer for many juniors charged in the same case. I will do as 14 much as I can and the best that I can, including replying to letters and greetings that have arrived.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you for all of your help. I hope that we will meet together in freedom before too long.<\/span><\/p>\n
