“Mark” Kajornsak was raised by his grandmother in Chaiyaphum. After completing Grade 8, he moved to Bangkok to live with his mother. “I completed Grade 8.5”, Mark explained. After moving to Bangkok, Mark said he actually wanted to further his studies. But he needed to work to help support his family and worked as a waiter, motorcycle taxi driver, etc.
Mark began participating in public assemblies at the Din Daeng Intersection on 30 September 2021. He was arrested on 8 October 2021 and accused of hurling a Molotov cocktail at the Phayathai traffic police booth. He was remanded in custody for 84 days following his arrest; after the 84 days were up, the public prosecutor decided to not indict him and he was released. He was later indicted.
Witness hearings took place on 31 January – 3 February,7 February, and11-12 May 2023. On 15 August 2023, the Court of First Instance convicted and sentenced Mark to 11 years and six months and a fine of 1,000 baht for allegedly hurling a Molotov cocktail at the Phayathai traffic booth during #Mob30September21
