Krisada was arrested with a warrant served on 14 December 2018 at the close to a Thai border checkpoint in Srakaew. He was charged with several offences, including premeditated murder; causing an explosion likely to cause bodily injury or material damages; owning and using firearms, explosives, and ammunition for which the registrar cannot issue a license; carrying firearms to a town, village or public way without a license; firing shots unreasonably in an urban area, and violating the Announcement on the Requirement to Prohibit the Carrying of Firearms, Ammunition and Explosives Outside One’s Residence in an Area under the Emergency Decree.

In 2020, Krisada was sentenced to death by the Criminal Court. But given his guilty plea and the benefit of his evidence, the punishment was reduced by half to life imprisonment. At present, he is imprisoned at the Khlong Prem Central Prison.
