“Arif” Weerapap Wongsman is a second-hand clothing vendor whose daughter was not yet 2 when he was imprisoned. The Criminal Court sentenced him to 3 years imprisonment without suspension of punishment in a case of lèse lajesté according to Article 112 of the Criminal Code, and “unlawful assembly of 10 or more persons” according to Article 215 of the Criminal Code, including being accused of spray painting “We should reform the institution of the monarchy to be under the Constitution, #AssholeKing” at Dindaeng Intersection during a demonstration on 13 September 2021.

At present, Weerapap is being prosecuted on 9 cases related to political expression, including 1 Article 112 case.
